Kenyan firm plans large chilly chain facility in East Africa

A main Kenyan warehouse and logistics service provider Cold Solutions, says it’s going to make investments USD 70 million to construct the largest cold chain facility in East Africa to deal with challenges that face transportation of perishable items.
Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi will be the largest, most advanced and efficient within the region. The chilly chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for quite a few temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and multiple product ranges, from fresh fruit and greens, to prescription drugs and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen foods.
