Rotork assists BAE Systems in naval base actuator upgrades

Rotork has been working with BAE Systems to improve a sequence of A-range actuators to IQ3 actuators which function penstocks controlling motion of ships between the ocean and transitional locks and dry docks at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth).
A sequence of A-range actuators had reached the end of their operational life after lengthy service in a difficult setting. เกวัดแรงดันน้ำ wanted to retain all the advantages of electric actuators, so IQ3 actuators were chosen. These needed to be specifically tailored by Rotork to beat issues round confined areas and troublesome access.
IQ3 actuators and IS gearboxes have been mechanically adapted in order that both actuator and gearbox could be operated by hand without entering the confined house. เกจวัดไนโตรเจนราคา designed particular hand auto levers and thru drive mechanisms for the actuator and gearbox to get rid of the necessity for confined house access.
Actuators inside the IQ range are watertight, providing ingress safety to IP66/68 at 20 m for 10 days. They have a complicated twin stacked show with configurable data logger performance, and an absolute position sensor offers reliability and accuracy.
