The KSB pumps will equip a quantity of pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y management de inundaciones” project. They will be used to stop future flooding in the course of the high-water season along the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.
The metropolis of Pilar is situated 230 km south-west of Paraguay’s capital Asunción, on the Argentinian border.
Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is pushed by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. The maximum flow rate of each axial circulate pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump units are anticipated to be delivered by the top of this yr.
