Hayward Tyler awarded pump contract for ITER fusion project

Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister company Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to support the ITER venture in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps while Energy Steel will supply sixty two solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER venture is a joint worldwide research and development challenge to show the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion energy. The demonstration facility is underneath development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.

Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are both a part of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
